Ingredients
6lbcountry style ribs
3tspfine sea salt
2tspfreshly ground black pepper
1Tbspavocado oil
2tsphickory liquid smoke
1bottlebbq sauce(approx. 18oz)
4clovesgarlic,minced
Instructions
Remove country style ribs from the refrigerator and leave at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 275ºF.
Season the country style ribs on all sides with salt and pepper.
Heat a large skillet or braising pan over medium-high heat. Add avocado oil once it’s hot and coat the bottom. Add boneless pork ribs and brown all sides, working in batches as needed. Avoid overcrowding the pan so that you get a good sear. This will take about 8-10 minutes per batch.
Place all of the browned ribs back into the skillet or braising pan, brush with liquid smoke and cover with a tight-fitting lid.
Place pan in oven on the center rack and allow to cook for 2 hours.
Remove pan from the oven and carefully transfer the country style ribs to a plate with a spatula or tongs. They are going to be really tender, so be careful when transferring them so they don’t break apart. Pour off all of the liquid left in the pan and discard.
Carefully place the country style ribs back into the pan, pour bbq sauce over the top, sprinkle on minced garlic, and use a brush mix in the garlic and coat the tops and sides with the sauce.
Place the pan back back in the oven, uncovered, and allow to cook for 45 minutes, basting halfway through with the bbq sauce.
Remove from the oven and serve with your favorite sides!
