2-Ingredient Gluten Free Biscuits
- Gluten-Free

These are the easiest biscuits ever! And yes, with just 2 ingredients!! They’re so soft and fluffy! I could hardly believe it myself.
I’ve been making these biscuits non-stop for weeks now because they are just so easy to throw together and they go with everything. From brunch to bbq to steak dinners. They’re the perfect side for just about any meal!
From start to finish they only take about 20 minutes to make. With less than 5 minutes of hands-on time! Almost to easy to believe, I know! And the only equipment you need is a mixing bowl and a sheet pan. So easy!

Now I will say since these just have 2 ingredients and no butter, they aren’t quite the same as traditional flaky biscuits. You really need butter to get flaky, layered biscuits.
These are super soft and fluffy though and you could almost categorize them as like a hybrid of a biscuit and a dinner roll. And I’m so not mad about that. They are seriously so good!
So the two ingredients here are self-rising gluten free flour and full fat greek yogurt. Self-rising gluten free flour can be a little hard to find here in the U.S., so you can definitely just make your own! That’s actually what I usually do!
Just combine King Arthur Gluten Free 1:1 flour with baking powder and salt and you’ve got self-rising gluten free flour! Make a big batch and store in the pantry for this and other recipes! So easy!
For the Greek yogurt, I generally have the best baking results using the Chobani brand. It just creates more fluffy baked goods for some reason! Don’t ask me why, I have no idea! Other brands can be used but I can’t guarantee they will be quite as fluffy. Oh, and make sure to use only whole milk yogurt, not fat free or reduced fat.

2-Ingredient Gluten Free Biscuits
- Gluten-Free
- Pescatarian
Ingredients
- 3 cups + 3 Tbsp gluten free self-rising flour*
- 3 cups whole milk Greek yogurt**
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425ºF (218ºC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine flour and yogurt in a large mixing bowl with a wooden spoon. Once it's crumbly and combined, use you hands to knead and form it into a dough.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Form each piece into a biscuit shape using your hands (you will probably need to wash your hands before doing this if they are sticky with dough from the previous step). Place them on the baking sheet, evenly spaced.
- Bake on the center rack for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on the top.
- Enjoy!

Love these biscuits!
Yay! So glad you loved them!
I wonder if these could also be made dairy free?
I haven’t tried it myself, but I think that it would work if your yogurt was thick Greek-style yogurt. Let me know if you give it a try!
I only had fat-free greek yogurt on hand but these still turned out wonderfully! I have a feeling I’ll be making a lot of biscuits now. Thanks for sharing your recipe 🙂
So glad to hear that these still work with fat free yogurt! Thanks for the amazing review! 🙂
This recipe is our go to for breakfast sandwiches every week! It is SO easy and delicious! I love making a batch on the weekend to freeze for easy breakfast sandwiches during the week. They reheat in the oven very well! I have made this recipe using both AP flour and Kamut flour and they both were great! My kids would eat the whole batch if I let them! And I mean with these simple, simple and healthy ingredients, that wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing!! 😉
Last night I made them as a side for the first time (these biscuits with honey… my mouth is watering!!) I tried a different method to form them because I was being “lazy.” This time, I scooped out the dough using the large Pampered Chef cookie scoop. They ended up looking more like rolls, BUT I ended up with 18 smaller, but perfect size for us biscuit-rolls :)!! So many leftovers! Yay! We used some this morning for egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches!
Go make these for whatever meal is next in your day because they are good for breakfast, lunch, dinner AND snacks! You will thank me later!
Nicole! I’m so glad you enjoyed the recipe so much!! Thanks SO MUCH for the amazing review!! You are the best!! 🙂
These biscuits changed my life!! Went gluten free about two years ago and missed biscuits and biscuit breakfast sandwiches the most!! Store bought GF food is SO expensive and not that good I have found. To be able to make MY OWN biscuits and have them be so excellent is,well, life changing!! Thankyou so much for this amazing recipe!!
Hi Susan! Wow, I’m so glad you hear that you enjoyed them so much! You totally made my day! 🙂
