Keto Edible Cookie Dough

I’ve always loved cookie dough more than actual cookies. Can you relate?? There’s just something about it that I can’t get enough of. The taste and texture is just so amazing. And maybe part of the lure is the forbidden aspect as well, since you’re not actually supposed to eat raw flour and egg. LOL! Probably both to be honest!

This low carb cookie dough is so easy to make!

This almond flour keto cookie dough is so easy to throw together and perfect for a cozy night in! With only 1g sugar per serving, this is the perfect treat for a keto diet. And it’s also gluten free!

Eat it by the spoonful or scoop into little balls! For a less decadent and dairy-free version, try omitting the butter altogether! No other adjustments are necessary. And the cookie dough is still super delicious, just fewer calories and now dairy-free!

The perfect Keto treat!

This raw cookie dough recipe is much healthier than traditional cookie dough and totally safe to eat! Make a big batch and keep in the fridge so you can enjoy it anytime you want a sweet little treat! You can leave it in one bowl or scoop in to little balls using a cookie scoop for the perfect little bite of sweet and salty heaven.

No coconut flour or cream cheese in this recipe

This recipe does not include coconut flour like other recipes because I think it gives keto cookie dough a weird taste and texture. Especially the texture. It’s just better without it!

I do think coconut flour is great in keto baked good though!

As far as cream cheese goes, I wanted this recipe to also have a dairy-free option, so I decided against using cream cheese altogether. In general, cream cheese is not an ingredient I use in most of my cooking as I tend to prefer a more clean-eating approach.

This cookie dough is also gluten free!

This cookie dough is gluten free and keto! It has less than 1g of net carbs per serving, so it’s perfect for most people enjoying a keto diet! And if you’re not keto, you’re still going to love the taste of this cookie dough! Honestly, you can’t even tell it’s sugar free. If you aren’t crazy about using a sugar free sweetener or if they don’t agree with your stomach, you can also replace with maple sugar for a paleo/primal option!

What is Collagen + MCT Creamer?

To make this recipe extra delicious, I’ve used the Sprouts Collagen + MCT Creamer. It’s a powdered creamer that can be used in coffee, tea, smoothies, and all sorts of desserts like this one! It has a really great vanilla flavor and the only ingredients are coconut milk powder, collagen, MCT powder, and natural flavors.

I love that it’s just a few simple, clean ingredients and packed with a full spectrum of amino acids! If you can’t find this product, feel free to replace this with powdered coconut milk.

What kind of chocolate chips should I use?

My favorite keto dark chocolate chips (found here!) are perfect for this recipe! They have an amazing chocolate flavor and super clean ingredients! YUM!

I’ve actually been using these chocolate chips for YEARS, like before this company was even big! They’ve always been a favorite of mine! You can find them here or at Costco and you can follow me on Instagram for more updates.

    Prep Time: 5 minutes
    Cook Time: 30 minutes
    Servings: 18 servings

    Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 cups 225g blanched super fine almond flour
    • 1/2 cup 50g Sprouts Collagen & MCT Creamer
    • 1/3 cup 70g Lakanto Golden Monk Fruit Sweetener
    • 1 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
    • 1/4 tsp baking soda
    • 1/2 cup 114g salted butter, softened
    • 1/4 cup 60mL water
    • 2 tsp vanilla extract
    • 1 cup 177g Lily's dark chocolate chips

    Instructions

    • Combine dry ingredients. Add 1 1/2 cups almond flour, 1/2 cup Sprouts Collagen & MCT Creamer, 1/3 cup monk fruit sweetener, 1 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp baking powder into a large mixing bowl. Whisk together.
    • Add butter and wet ingredients.  Add 1/2 cup softened butter, 1/4 cup water, and 2 tsp vanilla extract to the bowl and mix well. Cut in butter with a fork if necessary (if it's not soft enough).
    • Add chocolate chips. Add 1 cup chocolate chips to the bowl and mix well.
    • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes for the best texture. Eat right from the bowl or scoop into little balls for the perfect snackable portions! This also makes them easy to freeze for later. Just pop them on a baking sheet and freeze, then transfer the frozen dough bites to a large zipper bag and store for up to 6 months. If they last that long! Enjoy!

    Notes

*For a paleo version, just replace the monk fruit sweetener with maple or coconut sugar!
